Architecture Strategy

Turning business goals into a clear, long-term technology roadmap.

Architecture strategy is the layer above any single system — it's the set of decisions that determine which systems get built at all, in what order, and why. That means sitting with business goals before touching a diagram: what the platform needs to be true in eighteen months, not just what it needs to ship next sprint.

In practice this looks like a technology roadmap that survives contact with reality — sequenced around dependencies, reversible where it can be, and explicit about the trade-offs each stage locks in. The goal isn't a perfect five-year plan; it's a strategy that keeps every tactical decision pointed the same direction.
